![]() Human Resources Human Resources The ground rules for all staffing requirements are in the documents of human resources. Every office must comply with the growing demands of state and federal regulations that spread the gamut from hiring practices to payroll to paid time off. It further includes procedures for disability and family leave, sexual, racial, religious and ethnic discrimination as well as harassment.. MMS takes on the responsibility of administering these tasks as well as putting together the required employee handbook outlining the required information for each practice. We supply all the standard personnel forms for proper documentation and practice protection. Employee Job Evaluation Staff members need to be evaluated to maintain standards of practice within the office. To this end, a general job description needs to be prepared for each position. Annual reviews can then be done to serve as a basis for promotion or salary adjustment with documentation. This is key to protect the practice from threats of a variety of discrimination charges that are part of state and federal employment law. Salary Evaluation The greatest single expense in any office is salaries. It is essential to keep staff at an appropriate salary level relevant to office income. It is costing more in salaries to earn less money than it did even five years ago.
